Happy New Year 2018
I am optimistic that you will all achieve anything you plan and set your minds to this year. We should all have those optimistic wishes, but I am the first to recognize that we don’t always get what we wish for - no matter the strength of our desire.
I say that to lead into acknowledgement that the vote for delegates did not conclude in the way that many of you expressed you’d like it to at Fall Conference. I received several articulate, well written missives that I forwarded to the national board. There was a lot of discussion and exhaustive consideration for the issues before us. I can only assure you that the board does not take their responsibilities lightly and voted with the best of the association at the heart of their decision.
Let this be a lesson to us, that if it is truly our heart’s desire than we must organize and give it 110% effort. Let’s focus this year on determining what we truly want, making a plan and pursuing it with all our efforts. Imagine what we might achieve this 2018 if everyone of us gave it our best.
